With purposeful steps, the ascetics embarked on their pilgrimage toward the East, the sacred land of the Beloved** Leaving behind their current abode, they erected a new dwelling, a sanctuary that stood farther afield, as if in closer proximity to the realm of their heart's desire**

  • The ascetics wended their way towards the East - the Beloved’s land. They abandoned their present habitation and built for themselves another house further off (i.e. they have got a fresh house in the other world).
That is the provision of the present life; but with Allah is an excellent home.
    (14, Al-lmran).

They chose the road that goes to the cast and went Giving up their homes here, they build their huts ahead.

They set out the path and proceeded to Eastward,
They gave up their abodes here to build up there.
